Power supplies from Meanwell and SKOFF for LED staircase lighting

You would like to use our LED illuminants apart from the staircase lighting? Here you can find the suitable power supply units to operate the LEDs separately from our LED control units. A suitable power supply unit is already included with each of our LED control units.

The power supplies are ideal for a classic LED staircase lighting, controlled by a light switch, or by changeover. The LED power supplies are mounted in the control cabinet, or a small distribution board near the staircase. The branded power supplies from Meanwell are designed especially for the LED strips for staircase lighting, while the LED power supplies from SKOFF with their output voltage of 10 V are manufactured especially for the LED spotlights from SKOFF.

In addition to the classic operation via switch, the Zigbee control devices for integrating the staircase lighting into your smarthome can also be connected to the power supplies with voltage. This way, your staircase lighting can be easily controlled via app. You can find these Smarthome controllers in our accessories category.

Which power supply is the right one?

The power supply is basically to choose in the identical voltage (V) to the illuminant. Here it behaves like the gas station in the car: As for the diesel engine exclusively diesel is the correct choice, for the 12 V LED strip exclusively a 12 V power supply is the correct choice. Likewise, for a 24 V LED strip, a 24 V power supply is needed, and for the 10 V spotlight, a 10 V power supply.

The power (W) of the power supply is again to be dimensioned according to the number of LEDs. Here, the total power of all illuminants must be added and a safety margin must be added. An example: ten LEDs of 5 W each result in a total output of 50 W. A minimum of 10% must be added to this, so that the LED power supply must not fall below a permanently usable power of 55 W. This value is given for each of our power supplies. We specify this value for each of our power supplies.

To simplify the selection of the right LED power supply, we have included the appropriate power supply and the maximum number/length of lamps in the article description of each lamp in the store. It is even easier with our staircase lighting configurator: This automatically determines the right power supply for your project in terms of voltage and power. To the configurator.
