The ambient lighting function of our LED control units uses up to four unused LED channels (for example, for 10 steps, LED channels 11 to 15) for additional, general lighting of the staircase. These LED channels are permanently switched on slightly dimmed to give you orientation light at night. When you enter the staircase, these LED spotlights switch on at the same time and thus - in addition to the step lighting - provide pleasant lighting for the entire staircase.
The 3.8W LED spotlight is the right choice for exactly this application! With its high light output, the recessed spotlight achieves almost the brightness of a 40W halogen lamp. Due to its design, it is suitable for direct installation in wood (drill diameter 65mm) as well as for installation in empty boxes (60mm flush mounted box). The small installation depth of only 14 mm, which allows a very flexible use, should also be emphasized.
Suitable for this LED spotlight is a 12 V power supply unit with the following output:
- 60 W version: Up to 14 spotlights.
- 100 W version: Up to 20 spotlights.
- 150 W variant: Up to 32 spotlights.
